How practice works
  1. Choose a topic, year and difficulty.
  2. Start an attempt and enter your answer.
  3. Reveal the worked solution when you need it.

Timed ranks are practice estimates. Using help makes the attempt practice only.

Wide tables scroll horizontally. For detailed working, you may prefer a larger screen.

    NavGanitMate privacy & saved work

A parent-connection reminder uses a local list of up to five completed question IDs for each browser profile and a tab-session dismissal marker. It sends no answers or reminder activity to the server and does not restrict practice.

Guest practice — no parent dashboard required. You can browse questions and practise as a guest without creating an account, entering a student ID, giving an email address or setting up a parent dashboard. Student sign-in, parent accounts and online progress saving are optional. Guest practice can save answers and progress in this browser when storage is available; it does not require sending progress to a parent account. Website visit and question-opening analytics are described separately below.

Saved in this browser. Your profile preferences, answers, practice history and notes are stored here when browser storage is available. Guest work is not uploaded. For a connected student with uploads enabled, detailed history, typed answers, notes and scratch working also save to the student account in PostgreSQL. Check the save status before clearing browser data. People sharing this browser may see saved work. If you use separate learner profiles, choose the correct child before practice to keep new practice history assigned separately; changing the profile name alone does not switch learners. New notes are separated by learner; some preferences remain shared. A nickname is enough.

Guest practice. Public practice does not create a student ID or account. Guest answers and notes remain in this browser. A worksheet session ID identifies a visit, not a person. Older local work stays stored; it is not assigned to a new account automatically.

Children sharing a device. Each child signs in with their own parent-created student ID and password before practice. Close open worksheets when changing students. People using the same unlocked browser may see cached work; account separation does not encrypt browser storage. Parents should sign out of their own dashboard after use.

Parent-managed student accounts. Parents create eight-digit student IDs in the parent dashboard and set or reset the student password after confirming their own password. The student uses Student sign-in to access their account. Student creation assigns the parent automatically; QR pairing, connection codes, guest enrolment and device setup links are no longer used. No student email is needed. Detailed history, typed answers, notes, scratch working and question/help content save to PostgreSQL while uploads are enabled. Browser preferences and nicknames stay local. A student can pause uploads; only the managing parent can resume uploads, clear server work or delete the student profile. Parent summaries are retained for 90 days; workspace records remain until parent-controlled clearing/deletion, within 200 records and 16 MiB per student. Password reset preserves saved work. Each sign-in replaces the previous student browser. Student browser credentials remain in localStorage and are not hardware-bound. Existing parent relationships and server work are preserved; old unassigned browser work is not automatically imported. Parent login IDs and salted password hashes are stored on the server, and parent sign-in uses an HttpOnly cookie with a one-hour lifetime. Parent account deletion removes that parent’s access; orphaned student management requires owner-assisted recovery. Retired student login numbers remain reserved without the prior student mapping.

Optional account emails. Recovery addresses are stored only when you add one. Verification, reset and invitation messages are sent through Apple iCloud Mail from [email protected], with replies directed to [email protected]. One-use links expire after 30 minutes for verification, 20 minutes for reset and 24 hours for invitations. Pending message bodies are encrypted on the server and removed after acceptance by the mail server, final failure or expiry. Delivery metadata is retained for up to seven days, with cleanup during requests or mail-worker activity. Verification links do not automatically connect a student. Password resets preserve administrator MFA.

Optional progress email subscriptions. Signed-in parents can choose Off, Daily or Weekly updates for selected linked students, using a verified address and explicit consent. Off is the default. Summaries include the parent’s labels, topics and counts from newly received shared activity, not raw answers, notes or school identifiers. Paused or disconnected students are omitted. Apple iCloud Mail processes delivery; copies in your inbox follow your own mailbox retention. You can stop updates in the parent dashboard without changing recovery email or student sharing. Changing your email switches progress updates off until you subscribe again. We keep subscription preferences until changed or the account is deleted, upload receipt times with retained attempts (normally up to 90 days), and digest delivery metadata for up to seven days. No marketing or tracking pixel is added.

Owner-only administrator account. The site owner’s administrator account is separate from parent accounts, uses a separate sign-in page and session cookie, and is not available through public signup. Parent accounts never receive administrator privileges. Administrator access requires an authenticator app or a one-use recovery code as well as a password. Authenticator setup keys are stored encrypted; recovery codes are stored only as hashes. Setup QR codes are generated by this service without an external QR provider. Keep setup keys and recovery downloads private. Codes and keys are not emailed or included in application audit logs.

Flash cards. Cards reuse existing worksheet questions and reference answers. Practise-again marks are saved only in this browser and are shared by its learners. Each flash card shown, including Previous, Next and Shuffle, adds an anonymous question-opening event. Revealing an answer does not add another opening event. It saves an unscored answer-viewed practice attempt for the selected learner in this browser; these revision records are not uploaded to family accounts. Opening the full worksheet uses its normal counters.

Keep copies of important work. Clearing browser data, private browsing or changing browser or device can mean losing saved work. Download notes and export history separately. Downloads are copies of the selected content, not a complete account backup; not every format can be imported to restore your work. Keep these files somewhere private.

Question opening count. Opening a worksheet sends an anonymous page-open event to our server. A fresh random event ID prevents duplicate retries and is retained for up to 24 hours; aggregate totals are kept. It includes no profile, answers or notes. Reloads, repeat openings and automated browsers may count.

Visiting the website. Cloudflare helps deliver and protect this site and processes connection information such as IP addresses and requested pages. Server error logs may also contain request details. Security features may use cookies. This is separate from your browser-saved learning records. Cloudflare privacy information.

Sharing feedback is your choice. A report includes your message and question/version details. Your saved profile, answers and notes are not automatically attached. Files you select can reveal personal details or contain embedded metadata: check and redact them before sharing. Diagnostic event codes and timestamps are included only after you enable logging. Sending email shares your message and attachments with the recipient and email providers. A download alone sends nothing to us. Website feedback delivery may be unavailable; only a confirmed receipt indicates it was received.
