Monthly income inputs are take-home cash after tax. Spending excludes property costs and loan interest shown below.
Estate records · fictional context
Sample will, executor notes and beneficiary review are shown as document context only. No estate transfer, probate or legal outcome is calculated.
How these numbers work
Property cash flow sums each household share of IP rent minus operating costs and interest-only loan cost. PPOR and vacant properties have no rent. No principal repayment is modelled. All property figures are entered at 100% then multiplied by the household ownership share. PPOR/IP date ranges are recorded separately and do not imply a tax result. Selected assets and debt appear in net wealth; super is excluded from accessible cash.
Cash runway uses bank cash divided by the monthly deficit. Scenario runway is based on the first-year average, not a month-by-month schedule or a forecast beyond that year. Projected cash is a simple 12-month arithmetic balance; a negative value means a funding gap, not available borrowing.
No tax, CGT, inflation, asset growth, super access, pension entitlement or legal rules are calculated. Business equity may be entered as net equity or derived from assets less debt, without double-counting. Business/trust/investment income is supplied net cash; trust capital values are not modelled.

Income loss affects Alex for all 12 months. Retirement stops Alex’s salary after the selected number of months, with optional replacement cash. Combined income loss and retirement use the lower salary factor, avoiding double-counting. Rate rises last the full year. Market falls change local/foreign portfolio values immediately, leaving their cash income unchanged.
Shares and business · synthetic registers
Holdings, businesses & records
Registers are added to the Other unitemised inputs, so set those to zero when itemising the same balance. Purchase parcels determine extra units; opening units have unknown purchase history. Prices, costs, currency and FX are manually supplied. Purchase spending and unrealised differences are not a tax cost base or CGT calculation.
Businesses use either a supplied net equity value (already after debt) or underlying assets less business debt, never both. Asset finance is reference data already included in business debt; business-use percentages and GST do not generate deductions. Only one income year per business can supply dashboard cash. Recorded losses stay separate from cash, wealth and any tax-saving estimate.
Employee work-from-home · deduction working paper
WFH deduction options
Compare fixed-rate and actual-cost arithmetic for one fictional employee and income year at a time. These amounts are deductions, not refunds or extra cash. They do not change the household dashboard or salary.
Employee running expenses only. Home-business occupancy, rent/mortgage interest, cleaning, instant asset deductions and depreciation calculations are outside this tool. Exclude employer-provided/reimbursed costs. Work-use shares must come from your own supported calculations, not a default percentage; energy must represent additional work-related running costs.
Records and assumptions
These are manual declarations, not verification of entitlement or records. Different employees and years have separate inputs; allocate shared bills fairly without duplicating claims.
The fixed rate includes energy, phone, internet, stationery and computer consumables: the actual-cost rows are never added to that method. Separate equipment/repair amounts must already be eligible work-use deductions, not raw purchase costs or values copied from the asset register.
ATO sources and supported years
Source snapshot: 24–25 and 25–26 use 70 cents/hour. For 26–27 this app has no verified year-specific fixed rate, so it will not carry a prior rate forward. Check current ATO guidance. Figures are working-paper calculations, not a lodged return or a choice of the best method.
